#196 – Do You Have What It Takes to Never Sit in the Lobby on A Sales Trip?

This week I’m very happy to welcome sales coach, business executive, author and public speaker, Glenn Poulos to The Alden Report. Glenn is the co-founder, Vice President, and General Manager of Gap Wireless Inc., a leading product and service distributor for the mobile broadband and wireless markets. With over three decades of experience in sales, he has spent thousands of hours in the field or on the phone with customers and working with salespeople to help create several very successful companies.

After entering the sales field in 1985 as a Technical Sales Rep, Glenn founded his first company, mmWave Technologies Inc. in 1991 and simultaneously served as President of Anritsu Electronics Ltd. for 9 years. Using his extensive knowledge and experience in the industry, he lectures groups on sales strategy, consumerism, and what motivates people at a raw emotional level.

After three decades in the office trenches, Glenn figured out exactly what to do—and what to avoid—to get the deal done. It is with this experience that he authored his book Never Sit in the Lobby: 57 Winning Sales Factors to Grow a Business and Build a Career Selling. Inspired by real-life lessons that shaped Glenn’s career, this guide provides 57 factors for navigating the interpersonal dynamics of selling and the art of negotiation to help you sidestep common costly mistakes—before you lose the sale.

Thank you very much to Glenn Poulos for joining us this week on The Alden Report.
